Information on Submitting a Workday Student Access Request

November 01, 2023

Following Launch 1 of Workday Student on October 4, 2023, we are addressing incoming support requests through Hypercare as quickly as possible and have identified that many requests are related to access provisioning.

Launch 1 access provisioning requests are limited to those faculty and staff who perform tasks in the functional areas of admissions and scheduling and are being prioritized on that basis. Requestors are required to provide clear and specific rationale for the requested access – detailing the specific business task(s)/outcome(s) that the access is required for when submitting a support request using the UBC Self Service portal. All other access requests will be deferred for review.

Access for Launch 2 - the Workday Student Access Form (PDF) will be replaced with a digital form (within the support request). More information about the Launch 2 access request process will be available here soon. Read more about Launch 2 here.

Submit a support request by following these steps:

1. Access the UBC Self Service Portal: Visit the UBC Self Service Portal using your CWL login credentials.

2. Click on “Get Workday Support"

3. Select Workday Support (Student)

4. Create a Support Request: When prompted, select the ‘Access Issues or Requests’ category for your support request.

5. Complete the Workday Student Access Form: Requests for access require completion and submission of the Workday Student Access Form (pdf). A link to this form will appear on selecting the ‘Access Issues or Requests’ category. Please download and complete the form and attach it to your support request.

6. Submit Support Request

7. Ticket Assignment and Prioritization: Your support request will be routed to the appropriate team and prioritized based on urgency and its impact on your work.
